Constitutional Court of Romania visits the Federal Constitutional Court

A delegation from the Constitutional Court of Romania, headed by its President Prof. Dr. Valer Dorneanu, visited the Federal Constitutional Court from 18 to 20 March 2019. President Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Andreas Voßkuhle and Vice-President Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, LL.M., as well as other Justices of the Federal Constitutional Court welcomed the guests. The topics discussed in the working sessions included the multi-level cooperation of European courts (Europäischer Gerichtsverbund), the relationship between constitutional courts and the government, and constitutional disputes between public authorities. In addition, the visit provided an opportunity for the Justices to discuss recent decisions by the two courts.
