Visit of the Federal Constitutional Court to the Supreme Court of Israel

From 12 to 15 November 2019, a delegation from the Federal Constitutional Court, headed by its President Prof. Dr. Dres. h. c. Andreas Voßkuhle and Vice-President Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, LL.M., visited the Supreme Court of Israel. President Esther Hayut together with other members of the Supreme Court welcomed the delegation. Topics addressed in the working sessions included freedom of expression in the age of the Internet, the independence of courts as well as human rights in the context of immigration and asylum. In addition, the visit provided an opportunity for the Justices to discuss recent decisions by the two courts.
