Delegation from the Federal Constitutional Court visits the European Court of Human Rights

On 17 June 2021, a delegation from the Federal Constitutional Court headed by President Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, LL.M. (Yale) and Vice-President Prof. Dr. Doris König visited the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg at the invitation of President Robert Spano. In working sessions held throughout the day, case-law on the following topics was discussed: surveillance of foreign telecommunications, assisted suicide and state liability for human rights violations. The visit continues a long-standing tradition of exchange between the two courts.
