Delegation from the Supreme Court of Israel visits the Federal Constitutional Court

A delegation from the Supreme Court of Israel consisting of its President, Justice Esther Hayut, and Deputy President, Justice Uzi Vogelman, as well as four other Supreme Court Justices visited the Federal Constitutional Court from 23 to 25 July 2023. The guests were received by President Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, Vice-President Prof. Dr. Doris König and other members of the Federal Constitutional Court. The topics discussed in the working sessions included the role of the constitutional judge in consolidating the rule of law, the constitutional protection of the environment, the role of the judge in protecting fundamental freedoms, and the balancing of national security interests with individual freedom.
