Federal Constitutional Court participates in Hamburg festivities to mark the day of German unity

The festivities marking the day of German Unity take place in Hamburg on 2 and 3 October 2023. The chosen theme is ‘Opening Horizons’. The Federal Constitutional Court will showcase its activities with an interactive pavilion on Rathausmarkt (the town hall square). Interviews with members of the Court will be held in the pavilion, giving visitors the opportunity to gain a personal impression of the Court’s work.
Approximately 1,300 guests are expected to attend the official ceremony on 3 October 2023 at Hamburg’s Elbphilarmonie concert hall. Once the ceremony has been opened, the President of the Bundesrat, Dr. Peter Tschentscher, will address the audience. This will be followed by a speech from the President of the Federal Constitutional Court, Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth.
