Federal Constitutional Court publishes 2023 annual report

Today the Federal Constitutional Court published its 2023 annual report, which is available in German and English.

This year’s report focuses on the rapport between the Federal Constitutional Court and the public. It includes articles on the visitors’ service at the Court, new informational videos and the citizens’ fair marking the Day of German Unity. The report summarises selected decisions rendered by the Court in 2023. Also included is a look back on the Congress hosted by the Federal Constitutional Court for the Presidents of the Constitutional Courts of Europe, which addressed climate change as a challenge for constitutional law and constitutional courts. The report concludes with an outlook on cases the Court expects to decide in 2024, along with diagrams of selected statistics on the number of proceedings as well as information about the Court, its Justices and staff members.
