Visit of the Federal Constitutional Court to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania

A delegation from the Federal Constitutional Court headed by President Prof. Dr. Stephan Harbarth, LL.M. (Yale) and Vice-President Prof. Dr. Doris König visited the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania in Vilnius on 29 and 30 April 2024. The delegation was received by the Court’s President, Dr. Gintaras Goda, LL.M. (Frankfurt am Main), and other members of the Court. The topics discussed in the working sessions included national security interests and human rights in the face of threats to the democratic order, criminal prosecution and human rights, the relationship between domestic fundamental rights and the European Convention on Human Rights/the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, and human dignity and the existential minimum.
